Omega De Ville Chronograph 146.017

The first De Ville watches were sold in 1967 and were designed as elegant watches that were somewhere between dress watches and sports watches.
Characterized by a streamlined and classic design, and first-rate movements these watches are still sought after today.
The first models were called Seamaster De Ville to first test the line with the general public and later it became a standalone model.
The Omega De ville Chronograph shown here is one of these first De Ville models with only De Ville on the dial.
When it was released at the time, it was not popular, so it was discontinued within 2 years, making it even more collectible now.
The movement inside this unique piece is the Omega 930 caliber.
This movement is a 17-jewel movement and came from the same family that brought us the famous column-wheel 320, 321 calibers found in the Speedmasters.
What also makes this watch very unique is the placement of the date that is set at the 9 o’clock position, which is a playful detail.
