The Omega Seamaster 2922-1 is a beautiful example of the classic Seamaster models from the 1950s. Introduced in 1948, the Seamaster quickly became one of Omega’s most iconic collections, known for its robust construction and timeless design.
A particularly distinctive detail is the Hippocampus emblem on the case back. The symbol was inspired by the mythical hippocampus seen on the gondolas of Venice. During a visit to Venice, an Omega designer was inspired by this elegant figure, which later became an iconic symbol of the Seamaster collection.

This example features a silver-coloured dial with gold-coloured hour markers, a date window, and retains its original crown. These details, combined with its classic proportions and distinctive Hippocampus case back, make it a charming and collectible vintage Omega.
